Asian ADRs Move Lower in Thursday Trading

American Depositary receipts of Asian stocks were trading 2.79% lower at 1,370.91 on the BNY Mellon Asia 50 ADR Index on Thursday.

In North Asia, the gainers were led by online game developer Gravity (GRVY) and financial services provider Fanhua (FANH), which rose 5.7% and 1% respectively. They were followed by educational services provider RISE (REDU) and optical products company Canon (CAJ), which were up 0.3% and 0.2%.

The decliners in North Asia were led by social media platform Weibo Corporation (WB) and B2B operator JMU Limited (JMU), which tumbled 14.6% and 10.7% respectively. They were followed by electronics and entertainment company Sony (SNE) and social networking platform MOMO Inc. (MOMO), which fell 4.2% and 2.8%.

In South Asia, the only gainers were telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and ICICI Bank (IBN), which rose 2.3% and 1.4% respectively.

Digital entertainment company Sea Limited (SE) led the decliners in South Asia, falling 3.4%, followed by HDFC Bank (HDB), telecommunications operator PLDT (PHI) and automaker Tata Motors (TTM), which lost 2.7%, 1.3%, and 1.1% respectively.
